Ko Ngāti Awa te toki, tē tangatanga i te rā, tē ngohengohe i te wai.
It is with deep sadness that we inform our whanau and hapori of the passing of our Queen, our Mum, Nanny and Sister, Serenah Noti Tangiwaka Nicholson (née Te Poono).
After a brief battle with Cancer, Mum passed in the company of her siblings, tamariki and mokopuna on Monday 12th of December 2022.
Sadly she joins her younger brother Maharaia Darryl Te Poono, who also passed away on Friday 9th of December 2022.
For those of you who wish to pay your respects, we will be arriving at Pomare Community Hall (time tbc) tomorrow, Tuesday 13th December.
Whanau will then travel on Wednesday morning (time tbc) back home to Te Mapou Pa where she will lay with her bro by her side.
